Cruise on the Douro.
- Up the river in a traditional rabelo or a yacht, along the Douro
- Tasting stops in the terraced vineyards, lunch served on board
Porto clings to the cliffs of the Douro: cobbled lanes, port lodges, azulejo facades. To the east, the river runs to the world's oldest demarcated wine region, UNESCO-listed. A human-scale heritage setting for a seminar, a wine incentive or a gala dinner in a cellar.
Porto clings to the cliffs; the Douro runs to the terraced vineyards.
Portugal's second city weaves together cobbled lanes, port lodges and azulejo facades. The river winds east to the world's oldest demarcated wine region, a UNESCO site where the terraces form one of Europe's most photographed landscapes. For a seminar, a wine incentive or a gala dinner in a cellar, it's a human-scale heritage setting, usually more affordable than the capital.
Three readings of the North: Porto's historic centre, the Gaia cellars, the Douro wine valley. All linked by a single river.
The historic centre reads in facades and bridges.
On the Vila Nova de Gaia bank, the lodges line up their signs.
To the east, the river enters its wine country.
From a Douro cruise to a hands-on harvest, each experience has its corporate angle. All scale to your headcount and budget.

Lisbon suits urban, cosmopolitan formats, with easy extensions to Sintra, Cascais or Comporta. Porto is ideal for more intimate formats, wine-tourism- and heritage-oriented, with the Douro Valley as an exceptional setting for a premium incentive. At equivalent quality, Porto is usually 10–15% more affordable than the capital.
Plan at least one night in the Douro for a 4-day / 3-night seminar: two nights in Porto (plenaries, heritage, gala) and one night in a quinta (cruise, tastings, winemaker dinner). The valley takes effort to reach, about ninety minutes from Porto, but it's what turns a programme into a lasting memory.
The Douro harvest generally runs from mid-September to mid-October, the most requested period. For a team building around grape-picking and treading, or a winemaker dinner at the height of the harvest, we recommend booking at least 8 to 12 months ahead.
